Adrien English: To Review or Not to Review. I ask you!

So. I'm like a total Lanyon fan whore. It's true. I love his books, even when he does things I don't like...like that one time, in I Spy, when he didn't give the old dude and his lovah their exposed fuzznucking and I was all What?

Ok. In all seriousness (snort) I read this book last week. And I have to tell you. I loved it. LOVED it. LOVED IT.

Completely, utterly, totally.

My questions:

  • Should I review it if you all know I'm just going to say BUY IT?
  • Should I not review it because of some sort of stupid reverse psychology which basically is: you can't review it cuz you knew you'd like it?
  • Should I just stick to my original plan of doing fan-fare and confetti?

  • Should I do what ever the fuck I want to cuz it's MY BLOG?

Hey! Answered my own question!

Ok so next Tuesday you can buy this most excellent book. I'll be working on a masterpiece to show my proper appreciation for my BFF, Adrien with an 'E' English.

Even if you don't do a formal review, you can at least talk about it. A book "discussion", like the fancy intellectual people do.

Ooohhh Jen! Fancy intellectual! I can wear a beret and smoke a frenchie cigarette!

I want you to video tape yourself doing an interpretive dance of the plot of the book, culminating in your love for the book.

Do you see my hands raised above my head in surrender? Okay, which Lanyon book should I read first?

Fancy intellectual? Does my hat with the bell count? Or will it be too bourgeois?

You should do what ever the fuck you want cos it's your blog - but I'd send you cyder kisses and promise not to set fire to your hut with the DIK hot guys in there.

However, I am trying to avoid any kind of spoiler before I get my hands on "teh book" myself. So how about a review after the 16 Sep, pretty please?

Interpretive Dance....I can't decide if that means Bob Fosse (!) or Martha Graham.

You absolutely must review. You owe it to your readership. Seriously, I love reading other reviews on books I love/review because of the additional insights. LouisaClark

I also vote for a review using the the medium of dance. But can you get your beagle to do the dance? In costume?
