ManLoveMonday: At Last!

Welcome friends!

I woke up this morning, rubbed my sleepy little eyes, and I thought...time to make the donuts. And then, I realized that, BIG THINGS are going on. Exciting news happening right here in River City!

I grabbed my cape and tasseled boots!

Three books, four authors, 5 men and a kickass babe (all sitting on my desktop...in some cases for months...waiting to be reviewed...er...yeah) have arrived! WOOT. Ok only two are technically ManLove, but the third is the m/f series that I love.

So. Parade Day. Seems appropriate enough. Not that I worry about that kind of thing.

Tuesday. November 4.
Sew Important

From our friends over at Samhain.

The Englor Affair.
J.L. Langley

HELLO!

Book two in J.L. Langley's promising series of intergalactic regency manlove. Simon and Payton's book. Oh, ladies, let me just say that this is a yummy book loaded with sugar and spice and everything bow chicca wow wow. Lip smacking? I'll say.

(Oh..and Nate, too!! He's deliciously manly in this book. So in charge. He didn't distract me in the least. Merow.)

I think there's a little something for everyone here: mistaken identity, secrets, sex, a royal scandal, the big come out, locker room loving, NATE, and ooh la la, twue luv. And that Payton is sweet. Here is a 19year old whose story WORKS because of the societal expectation and the fabtabulous world building by my pal, J.L. and...er...haven't reviewed yet cuz..Hey did I tell you that I'm almost done with Novella the third? NO? Cuz it ate my life. And I love that Payton. Funny, strong, and ooohhhh a viiiirgin. Holy wow.

Plus. Simon? Red head. Jock. Say no more.

Next up:

Mexican Heat
Dynamic Duo
Laura Baumbach and Josh Lanyon

So..Uh..Mexican Heat ! The scorching tail tale of two swarthy men...and the battle of right vs. wrong, strong vs. weak, tequilla vs. good sense, Espanol vs. Ingles (spelling?).

Highlights of this book include: Gun battles, alcoholic beverages, explosions, sex, swim trunks, plane rides, more explosions, anger management, forgiveness, trust, sex, more gun battles, and true love. I won't give the big secret away, but kudos to both Josh and Laura from not backing away from the big problem. They see it through and the character journey for Gabriel is harrowing. Me likey.

Two writers. Two men. One blistering hot encounter on a desk. (Maybe that 's why he's so RED. Hey, does that dude look edible? IDK but every time I see this red hot cover... I start to get hungry.)

Also, I understand that Antonio is supposed to be sort of like Antonio Banderas...but I hear a young Ricardo Montalban. I DO....and...I like it. "Rich Corinthian leather" indeed.

And last but never least:

Demon Bound
Meljean Brook

Ok...nothing to do with ManLove..unless I do some slash with Michael and Hugh (JK! Although...Holy WOW that would be so hot. MJ? Yes? YES! YES!) but Meljean (hearts&bunnies) Brook 's newest guardian book Demon Bound? Yeah. That's right. Tomorrow.

Meljean has been running what I think is the funniest, smartest and most creative celebrations for a book release, like, ever. And that's just indicative of Meljean. Her books are smart, funny and and intensely creative. Have I mentioned how much I dig her? I have? I mean, she's the only m/f gal I push on MLM. Perhaps it's all my latent gal love for her female characters? IDK...For myself, no one serves up depth of character quite like MJB. She lights my fire. GO BUY HER BOOK.

::waves to mjb::

So those are the books I'm plugging today.

Now. Last piece of business. This photo is for Tumperkin, one of the smartest and most genuine ladies in bloglandia. Her post on Saturday is worthy of a Nose Picker. Actually, it's worth far more than that, but it's all I gots!

*Ed.Note. I moved ONE damn picture and my entire post went nutty. Sorry! All fixed now. ::prays::

Want, want, want Mexican Heat but it's not available to buy in the UK and the ebook isn't out 'til next year.

I'm not a happy British bunny.

I'm pretty excited about the new Langley book. I really enjoyed My Fair Captain, so this one will be fun, I'm sure! LB, would you say this one is hotter, same or less hot than MFC?

Oh! T! You're a tart and a nose picker! Go you!

A~I HAD this book when I was a little sprat...and I LONGED for those boots. SOB...so sassy!

Jenre~Why is it not available? Can you order it from B&N? Or is that hugely expensive?

Kati~Well. That's a tough question, but a good one. Nate ranks as one of my all time fav. dudes ever. So on that level, I mean, I have to say MFC is my hotter. HOWEVER. I prefer Payton to Aiden. And the dynamic here is much more balanced.

So they are quite different.

But mmmmmmm.

Oh, happy MLM! Okay, two last pics aren't showing up for me, but that's okay.

I think Little CJ and the MLM Majorette should get together and do a post. OMG Did you have this little golden book? I had so many of these. And the Pokey Little Puppy! And the Color Kittens!

Uh. In any event...How's that book playing out for you CJ? Brilliantly, right?

No Barnes and Noble in the UK BUT the US site does ship overseas. Yay! Only $5.45 for postage - not bad despite the terrible current exchange rate.

Only trouble is, the book isn't there. Is it out today? I can't find it on their site - but then again I can be a bit dense, perhaps I'm not looking in the right place, ie. by searching for Josh Lanyon & Mexican Heat.

Did find an interesting Tex Mex cook book tho!

It is 11 pm over your way and I had the pokey little puppy too! We do not have majorettes here though but do have marching girls. This has to be the weirdest sport ever and unique to down here. Weird.

I has a jealous. I am a wanting to read Mexican Heat like yesterday... and TEA. Soon my precious...

Meljean is the coolest and I LOVED her last book. Have not been reading all her posts though so much remedy that smartly.

And, go go writer girl! You're too good!
