*$*%$*#@*!!!

We interrupt this fabulous Fall Festivus with an exclusive lisabea meltdown.

OMFG. My website **poof** disappeared!

Am I cursed? Yes. YES I AM. You can still visit, sort of, here. Let me tell you: I had words with the folks responsible for this. (Including myself!)

The REAL website will be back shortly.

But let me ask you this--does it bother you when you click on an author's website and it's fucked up? It bothers me. I'm now one of them.

Fortunately, help is on the way!

PHEW!

Ed. UPDATE: Everything seems to be a go. Let me know if you have any problems--or if you're JenB and you'd like to discuss my grammar issues--cough cough--email me!

Never fear--Brad Pitt is here. What a scrumptious man he was/is.

Thanks Tracy. It'll all be fine, it's just so frustrating initially.

Hi LB!

Boy! Have you had a day! It's got to get better, child!

Yep! I agree with you - it always cheeses me off when I go to visit an authors website and it's not there. This happened to me today - with your website!

I just recieved email about your new release, due out Oct 2nd. I was really excited, as I LOVED the first two Men from Smithfield ebooks.

I wanted some more information, and so I decided to go to your website (for the first time I might add) - and WHAM! It says it's no longer there!

Now, I am a smart, prepublished author myself. I KNEW that any author who had a new book due any day now, would NEVER be without a website! I noticed you had a blog and wa-la! I find out that you were just as surprised as I was!

If the disapperance is someones fault, raise holy hell with them! They should at least give you a free month of service for your pain and suffering!

After all - this is your business - your bread and butter! You are a professional - and you got a book due out in what? Less than three days? And announcements are coming out on that said book -- and others (readers old and new) are gonna want to go and check it out! God only knows how many people came to check it out and was met with no website.

If this happened to me, I'd be more than freaking out - I'd be shouting 'Off with their heads!" Lucky for you, you are a much better class of authorhood than I am! (*grin)

Anyway - thank goodness you have a backup plan with your blog!

I just popped in to say HURRAH! for the third book! I love this series and I was really hoping a new one was on the horizon!

I wish you much success with sales and I can't wait to get my hands on it! If it is as good as the first two, you have a winner on your hands!

Take care and hope the website is up b/4 October 2nd!

George~Thank you so much for your nice words, and welcome to my blog.

I am still, uh, cheesed. I stopped checking. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised later--but they did say it could take 24hours. ACK!

Ack!

Jenre~no. But the photo did. :)
And the four cups of coffee. That's always good. Thanks toots.

Personally, I never go back to an author's site if it's not absolutely PERFECT both visually and grammatically (Chicago is my manual of choice). I also quit buying his/her books and tell all my friends to boycott.

And what a lovely site it is!

OMG, I was totally kidding! LOL Even I'm not bitchy enough to criticize a web site. I mean hello, did you ever read my blog???

I love the site, btw. Red is purdy. :D

JenB~You know I heart you.

I love the site too. We have a few things to work on, of course, but...it's definitely me. I didn't want a site that looked too....feminine product like. If you know what I mean.
