By the light of the night

when it all seems alright...

I know the sound is out of sync--but this just makes me happy. High school. Saturday at midnight. New London. Early eighties. And my twenty five something year crush on Tim Curry.

That brings back memories! Ah, yes, I had such a crush on him in high school, too. Hmm. That and a huge crush on David Bowie. Formative, perhaps?

I'm taking my daughter and two of her friends to see it on Halloween night at midnight. Hopefully they'll hold equally good memories.

Can I admit I liked the Shock Treatment songs better?

Shame on anyone who missed the sequel!

This was me in high school too!! I taped it off the TV late one night and watched it SO many times. Used to be staple watching for me and my buddies on weekends. :D

His mouth is incredible!

TPig-I. Love. That. Song. But this is the recognizable one. ANd...it's Tim Curry.

Tam~BigGirl (who turns 20 in Jan) went to see a live production last night at midnight. :) That's what made me all nostalgic. Hope you all have a blast!

Chris~Formative? A bit, yes. heh.

Sarah~We used to go and bring our props. It was such theatre!

I first saw it when I was in high school and went to visit my older sister who was away at college. The University of Kansas. The theater was packed and everyone had their props. I was riveted. It was one of the most fabulous things I'd ever seen, and my instant lust for Tim Curry's transvestite was shameful and more thrilling than any previous lustful thoughts about pale teenage boys had ever been. (We'll leave Rex Smith out of it.) I wanted to be there with Brad and Dr. Franknfurter as straight laced Brad lost his virginity. Formative? You betcha.

Mmmmm, Fankenfurter! He is so hot in that role.
I't fun to see the next generation partaking in that rite of passage.
