First thing? Hats off to everyone at the Stonewall Inn--and to the organizers of the event, and to the EKP ladies who are clearly the best women on the planet (and they are infinitely patient).
So a few shots and some blathering.
Igor Dolgatschew pinned me in front of the historic Stonewall Inn
(See the tiny blue pin on my collar?)

(See the tiny blue pin on my collar?)

Igor, Gregory, Hal, Dennis, Felix, Thore, Jo, Scott
These guys were all, each and every one of them, marvelous. And Hal Sparks ruled the day with his intelligence and humor. xxx
BTW--Felix? (center with scarf next to my very hot looking nfgBF sporting his own blue Eskimo Kiss pin) Show of hands--Who didn't want to put Felix in their pocket and take him home? What a sweetheart.
Lots of panels (six in all) and lots of chatting between them.
And finally--just wanted to give a shout out to Brent Magee. He was a kindred spirit and his wit and funny asides kept me in stitches. xxxx Brent. You're the best. Thanks for putting up with me
My favorite moment during the panels--and there were many many wonderful moments--was one I walked in on late because LB is too jiggly to sit in a dimly lit room all day. I kept leaping up to stretch my legs because I get antsy--I think I only missed one panel (FYI) but missed the start of two. Anywho-- I walked in to a passionate voice--Igor. The upshot was one actor stated he was just doing his job. And Igor? He really drove home to every Eskimo boy and girl in the room exactly why the De/Ro pairing works so well. Chemistry and fondness. He is brimming with personality and energy, that young man is. Wow. Brilliant. Mr. Passionate. And so present. Dennis G was moderating the panel-- and the connection between those two? Very shiny indeed.
You just know the writers ::coughTomcough:: are going to fuck with us soon. Can't wait.
And then I wandered to find more coffee.
BTW one of the highlights of the entire weekend was chatting with Tom, a writer for AWZ. Apparently there are two teams of writers--story line and dialog. And when I mentioned how fitting the music was to each scene, he explained that the producer hand selects the songs. Spot on.
This photo lifted from here. I'd draw a big heart around Tom--but I'm supposed to be editing right now. Big hug to the WRITER. WOOT!
And finally--just wanted to give a shout out to Brent Magee. He was a kindred spirit and his wit and funny asides kept me in stitches. xxxx Brent. You're the best. Thanks for putting up with me

PS-
My phone just arrived by Fed Ex. Closure at last. Three days without my phone? Agony.

All the pretty boys! I am jealous.
But nothing compares to our photo we took before your event.
What happens in LB's hotel room, stays there. ;)
Who found your phone?
And hey! Get back to your edits!
Katie--The pisser is it was too cold to wear those shoes!! I wore my uggs. But I did wear the halter. Merow. I hope. Or possibly--"lady, put a shirt on!"
I love our photo. I...will post it, but not the one where you are feeling me up.
Chris~I...uhm...ordered one yesterday. Insurance. And the deductible was more than the fucking phone.
Back to edits.
I have to snag the picture of all of those beautiful men. Love them. It sounds like you're having a wonderful time - so happy for you.
(I'm in hell this week!)
Tracy--Huge. Hug. I know how your week is going and...it'll be over soon. Promise.
I wish I could stop saying that I hate you, but, no, not yet. I'm also stealing that second pick. I want.
Please send me copies of the pictures when you get the chance. I love all of them. Thank you.
"But nothing compares to our photo we took before your event."
I double dawg dare ya to post it. And I TRIPLE dawg dare ya to post it without pasting TP and JL's faces over your faces.
BTW... HAL SPARKS WAS THERE?! If he is even one iota as witty in person as he is on all those VH1 list shows, I am SOOOOO jealous! Now HE would be one of MY gay boyfriends.
Emilie--am sending. My computer is slow!!
BevQB~Yes. Yes. A thousand times Yes. He isn't gay, but he can be your secret BF. He's sharp as a tack, quick on the draw, and funny as hell.
I believe the discussion on that particular panel included Thore and Jo saying they'd become close friends as they filmed the Christian and Olli romance, and that they were closer with each other than any of the other actors. Felix said it was just a job for him, that there were no personal feelings at all, and he wasn't any closer to Alexander Becht than any of the other actors. Igor and Dennis said that they were close friends -- that may have been when you came in. I don't know if it was the same panel, but Scott Evans said that he and Brett Claywell had become very good friends as well, and that he'd love to work with Brett again.
So aside from Felix, all of the other actors who answered that question on that panel said they had real feelings of friendship towards their on-screen partners. I think some of that affection comes through. Dennis seemed to be wondering how you could play a part like that if you didn't feel anything and just thought of it purely as business. That's how I took what he expressed, anyway.
I don't remember the exact wording, and I'm not sure I'm remembering it in order, but I think I got the important parts of the discussion correct.
Too much fun my darling girl... So glad you got your phone back. I'm hoping edits are going well. Busy weekend ahead. I'm off to catch up on Tracy's blog and see what's up!
Mwah! Love you!
