And the winner is...

Cecile!

Thank you everyone--and Random.Org. Cecile wins an RT Booklovers Convention Bag filled with swag!

So where was the key?

On Friday, after tearing the house apart, I went to look inside my shiny LOCKED car. Remember last summer when I participated in the Cash for Clunkers program? Well one of the selling points for my Nissan Murano was that, in theory, I couldn't lock my key in the car.

In practice? Not so much. I could see my key. Key? Actually, it's not so much of a 'key' as it is a blobby key chain gadget.

Blobby Gadget Fail

My key wasn't in the ignition...I mean who uses the ignition with a blobby key chain gadget key thing? I keep mine in the cup holder. And there it was. Right in the cup holder! YAY!

I should have been able to open the @#%*(%$-ing door. All you need to do is press the wee little button on the door handle and if the key is inside the car **beep-beep** goes the door and the lock pops open!

But no, not for me. A dull click and the door stayed locked.

I called G, who was helpful. "Press the button. Press the button. PRESS THE BUTTON."

Yeah. No duh, baby. Don't you think I tried that?

So G came home and unlocked the car for me. Easy Peasy. He's a sweetie.

Anywho. That's the mystery of the missing fucking key.

I'm going to blog about Russell Hood tomorrow at Sam Kane's blog. STAY TUNED.

Congratulations Cecile!

Interesting gadget to keep from locking your keys in the car (when it works, I guess). I wish they made a "clapper" for the keys, the remote, and the phone.

Glad your key turned up! I used to lock my keys in the car when I didn't get out of it right away. I'd put them on the center console instead of my purse. Now, the remote thing-y saves me from myself. :-P

I guess technology only helps when it works the way its supposed to. lol

Looking forward to your take on Robin Hood! (I so rarely get to see grown up movies, I've got to live vicariously.)
